Winterflood Work Experience Programme 2025

The Vacancy

Winterflood's Work Experience Programme is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to start a career in financial markets, sales, and trading with further scope to interview for subsequent entry-level/graduate roles.

Overview:

• Location: Based in our offices in the City of London
• Duration: One-week experience on either *Monday 23rd June – Friday 27th June OR Monday 30th June – Friday 4th July*
• Expenses: The placement is unpaid, but reasonable travel expenses will be covered

Key Highlights:

Capital Markets Exposure, including Front, Middle and Back office.

• Participants will shadow and rotate through different desks, including:
  • Corporate Finance (Investment Trusts)
  • Institutional Sales Trading
  • Electronic Sales Trading
  • Equity Trading (FTSE, Small cap, Alternative Investment Market etc.)****​

Trading Simulation:

• The experience will also include a trading simulation where participants apply the skills they've learned, making real-time decisions based on market conditions.
• This will help participants understand the complexities of market-making and trading in a hands-on environment.

Final Presentation:

• At the end of the week, successful candidates will deliver a final presentation summarizing their key learnings from the experience.
