FULL DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Head of Planning, the Planner/Programmer will play a key role for providing accurate construction time related programme information for both tender and contract programmes. This will include procurement and design key dates, monitoring and reporting on site progress and look ahead forecasting.

Role Description
- Create and develop detailed cost and resource loaded plans using critical path analysis.
- Develop and present written method statements and programme commentaries.
- Monitor site progress and update reports accordingly for internal and external purposes
- Undertake detailed analysis of delays in contract plans and report accordingly to management.
- Use of Primavera, Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project software to develop, present and amend plans.
- Experience of reading and accurately interpreting drawings, specification and other construction information.
- Experience of working with supply chain and having interaction with customers and communities.

Technical Competencies
Essential
- Possess a civil engineering or construction management degree or other qualification or proven and suitable work experience deemed appropriate by management.
- Have at least 5 years pre and post contract experience in a construction planning role on major projects including those where NEC and Design and Build contracts have applied.
- Understanding of construction technology and methods including steel structures, concrete frames, timber frames etc. Understanding of modular construction methods would be an advantage but not essential.
- Capable of working under minimal supervision and on own initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines within a client facing working environment.
- Possess superior communication skills and effectively integrate with designers and site teams to add value to the construction process.
- Flexibility to work throughout Great Britain and Ireland, as required.
- An appropriate and valid CSCS card
- Valid driving licence
