FULL DESCRIPTION

The Southampton District of the Methodist Church and the Wessex Synod of the United Reformed Church are seeking to appoint a professional HR specialist to the role of Lay Employment Advisor, at 14 hours per week, £33,000 pa (pro rata).

The principal duties include advising and liaising with lay and ordained Church Officers to enable and implement good employment practice, to keep accurate and up-to-date records and to deliver training sessions to small groups.

The postholder will work from home and will be provided with a laptop and phone.

Part-time 14 hours per week spread over 3 days with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends occasionally.  The ability to travel around the District and Synod is essential.

An Enhanced DBS is essential.
