Christ Church Winchester is looking for a Pastoral Director to join their vibrant, supportive and creative staff team, and lead their church’s pastoral activities. The pastoral director will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the church’s vision to deepen discipleship within their congregation, strengthening relationships and reaching out into the local community.
Christ Church is a large lively Anglican Church with a strong emphasis on the preaching of God’s Word and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. They hold three Sunday services and provide a range of groups, activities, courses and pastoral support for all ages and stages of life throughout the week.
This is a part time permanent post: 32 hours per week Sunday – Wednesday, including some evening work.
Salary £27,000 pa and pension contributions.
Holidays: 21.5 days per year plus bank holidays.
There is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by an active, practising Christian. The post holder will also need to have a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
