Lead Children’s Worker – St Barnabas, Winchester

[Employer hidden] are seeking someone to lead their children’s work, running various groups in the week and on Sunday mornings. Even if you cannot do all the groups they would still welcome applications for the times that you are able to do (with a minimum of 4 hours/week up to a maximum of 20 hours/week). You would need to prepare some things beforehand as this is a leadership role. There are 4 groups each week:

• Fridays 9am-12pm – Parent & toddler group
• Fridays 2-5pm – Primary aged after-school club
• Fridays 5-6.30pm – School Yrs 5-11 club
• Sunday 10.15am-12.15pm – Junior Church (Toddler and primary aged)
• Plus at least an hour per group for preparation time
• Plus the possibility of 6 hours / week for planning & running annual events eg: Holiday Club and updating our Social Media and Website

The role is for term-time only and there is a trial period of three-months initially. These groups will involve teaching but also co-ordination of volunteers. As the work is Christian in nature, and involves teaching, there is an occupational requirement that you will be a Christian yourself. Pay range (based on experience): £12-£15 / hour.
