[Employer hidden] are recruiting for a Senior Scientist (In Vitro Immunology) to join a global pharmaceutical company on a contract basis initially for 12 months.
Salary: Up to £28.97 per hour PAYE or £39.85 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35).
Senior Scientist (In Vitro Immunology) Role:
- Design, plan and execute in vitro studies to support target identification, validation and translational pharmacology.
- Apply strong technical expertise in in vitro immunology models, ensuring appropriate model selection and scientific rigor.
- Test and validate small molecule and biologics modalities in vitro.
- Support the development, optimisation and validation of in vitro models, including oversight of CRO studies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to reports, study summaries and presentations.
Your Background:
- PhD (or equivalent) in Immunology or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in drug discovery, ideally within immunology or inflammatory disease areas.
- Strong hands-on experience with in vitro immunology models.
- Experience with techniques such as cell culture, immune cell separation, flow cytometry, ELISA/multiplex assays and Western blotting.
Desirable:
- Experience with 3D cell culture systems
- Knowledge of immunofluorescence microscopy or immunohistochemistry
- Experience handling large datasets or coding for data analysis
