Talenmark is recruiting for a R&D Manager to join a company in Materials Manufacturing industry at their site based in Preston on a permanent basis.

The Company:
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of specialist materials.

The Location:
The role is based at our client's site near Preston.

The Role:

  • To lead and coordinate the research, development and technical services function across all site competence.
  • Liaise with your team, Sales, Production Planning, Production Management, Quality / HSE, Maintenance and Purchasing by providing technical support for any new or ongoing development projects.
  • Contribute as necessary to the design/formulation of new products.
  • Identify new materials and technologies available in the market.

Your Background:

  • Masters degree or a PHD qualification in a science related subject, such as chemistry, applied chemistry or material science.
  • Accomplished senior manager within a complex manufacturing environment, working within a technical or research and development function with responsibilities for tecnical support, new product or process development.
