Our client is a world-renowned high-performance glass and glazing solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technologist to join their Process Control team, and are offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience.

Location:
The Senior Technologist position will be based at the company's site near Wigan, easily commutable by road from Merseyside including Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale and Manchester. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.
Your main duties will be:
- Creating and enhancing Process Control systems from concept through to implementation.
- SCADA development, PLC programming, advanced control techniques using AI and Machine Learning.
- Developing and implementing Inspection Systems and Instruments.
- Working with many packages from legacy systems through to high level programming languages.
- Partnering with R&D and production teams to identify and deliver instruments and process improvements safely and effectively.
- Providing both on-site and remote technical support, while upgrading and maintaining existing systems.
- Occasional International travel
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree (2:1 or above) in a STEM subject.
- Significant experience in Industrial Process Control.
- Knowledge of Electrical and Electronic design.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Full UK Driving licence and access to your own transport.
