[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are recruiting for an Associate Scientist, to join a Biotechnology company who are focused on developing novel immunotherapies. The role is based on-site in Cambridge on a permanent basis, with Mon-Fri day time working hours. The salary is around £36,000-£38,000 per annum.

[Employer hidden] are recruiting for an Associate Scientist, to join a Biotechnology company who are focused on developing novel immunotherapies. The role is based on-site in Cambridge on a permanent basis, with Mon-Fri day time working hours. The salary is around £36,000-£38,000 per annum.

Your main duties will be:

  • Develop, optimise and execute cell-based assays under the direction of Senior Scientist colleagues.
  • Perform routine laboratory techniques including primary cell culture, PCR, ELISA, Western blotting, and Flow Cytometry.
  • Support day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample shipments, equipment upkeep, and maintenance of consumable and reagent stocks.
  • Data analysis, Reporting & Project Support.
  • Contribute to scientific outputs such as internal reports, presentations, and publications.

Your Background:

Essential:

  • Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline (BSc minimum).
  • 1-3 years’ industry experience working in a Biotechnology company.
  • Experienced in cell-based and/or biochemical assay development
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and good lab practice.

Desirable:

  • Experience in biologics discovery, antibody screening, or use of primary cells.
  • Experience coordinating protein expression and purification in CRO or in-house settings.
  • Experience with Chomatography such as SEC-LC or SDS-PAGE to screen/analyse proteins.
