We are looking for  a M&E Project Engineer to join the [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]'s Estates Capital Projects team. With a wide portfolio of projects which vary in size, type and value this role will support the Senior M and E Project Engineer and the Project Engineering Team within Estates Capital Projects.

With a wide portfolio of projects which vary in size, type and value this role will support the Senior M and E Project Engineer and the Project Engineering Team within Estates Capital Projects.

The current, growing list of projects range in value from £50K - £5m.  The role is to ensure these projects are delivered to a high quality and meeting or exceeding relevant standards and specifications.  The role of M & E project engineer requires close collaboration with the wider Estates team, all internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants alike.

As the NT is a live building, project delivery must ensure minimal if any impact on day-to-day operations, rehearsals and performances.

The role will act as a point of contact for all project related M and E engineering enquiries, investigations and surveys, providing scrutiny and review, commenting on design specifications etc. Therefore clear, timely communication is key for success in the role.

The successful candidates will have the following:

  • Relevant experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer working on a portfolio of building infrastructure and/or construction project with knowledge and experience of commonplace electrical engineering infrastructure and systems.
  • A recognised engineering qualification at degree level, HNC or equivalent, or a recognised apprenticeship.
  • A demonstrable understanding of the UK Building Regulations, CDM 2015, BS 7671: 18, HSAW Act 1974 inc. EWAR 1989, COSHH, L8 – Approval Code of Practice & guidance on control of Legionella bacteria in water systems etc.
  • A highly motivated individual who the ability to work on their own and as part of a team across multiple concurrent projects.
  • An ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, internal NT stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors.
