The Client
Our client is a leading international law firm with a strong reputation across debt capital markets and fund finance. The team has been at the forefront of the sector, advising across a wide range of fund-related financing structures and strategies.
With expertise spanning the UK, Luxembourg, the US, Asia-Pacific, and key offshore jurisdictions, the team supports sponsors, funds, and lenders on transactions involving subscription facilities, NAV financings, pre-fund close bridges, end-of-life financings, co-investments, and management company loans.
The Role
This is a fixed term contract for a senior lawyer with a strong background in funds or finance to join the London team. The role offers high-profile work and the opportunity to collaborate with market-leading lawyers on cross-border transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on a wide range of fund financing transactions across multiple strategies and facility types.
- Drafting and negotiating documentation, including subscription and NAV facilities, co-investments, management company financings, and fund documentation such as LPAs.
- Managing transactions independently while working collaboratively with colleagues across private equity, tax, and corporate teams.
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice.
- Staying up to date with legal developments impacting fund finance and providing strategic advice.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in one of the following areas:
- Funds (including LPA and fund documentation experience),
- Fund finance,
- Leverage finance, or
- A broader financial law background gained at a top-tier law firm.
- Strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent).
- Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively with international clients.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a global team.
