This role offers a Level 2 Customer Service qualification with progression to Level 3 IT, and the opportunity for a permanent position. Responsibilities include answering calls, triaging tickets, providing customer service, and learning in a fast-paced IT environment.
IT Apprentice Job Description:
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our Helpdesk team at [Employer hidden]. This is a fantastic opportunity for a school leaver to kickstart their career in tech while making a real difference to the youth of Hull and contributing to the ever-growing pace of AI within today’s economic climate. To complete a Level 2 in Customer Service and move onto a chosen IT Level 3 upon completion of Level 2, with the opportunity for the right individual to become a permanent member of the team.

Basic Functions:
- Answer incoming helpdesk calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Triage support tickets and assign them to the appropriate team
- Log and update tickets accurately in our system
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Learn and grow within a fast-paced IT environment

Package:
Holidays: 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. Birthday off. Staff may choose either Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve as an additional paid day off. (This is currently under review)

This apprenticeship starts at Level 2 with progression to Level 3 and offers the opportunity to lead to a full-time position for the right candidate. Formal training is provided through an accredited IT apprenticeship programme, combining on-the-job experience with structured coursework. Typical duration is 12–18 months depending on the programme.
