Strategic Client Director

We are searching for an experienced Strategic IT Client Director to manage, grow, and develop a portfolio of high‑value strategic accounts. This role is focused on driving significant growth from complex, multi‑stakeholder customers and requires an experienced sales professional with exceptional sales capabilities, strong commercial acumen, and a strong track record of winning, managing, and expanding enterprise accounts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop a portfolio of Strategic Accounts, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.
  • Act as a trusted advisor / consultant to clients; conduct regular service reviews, proactively uncover unmet needs, and position appropriate technology solutions and services.
  • Maintain a strong, qualified pipeline to ensure consistent performance against target.
  • Develop & implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Be engaged into the customer’s strategies in order to Identify white-space and opportunities to expand into new divisions/subsidiaries within the customer and your accounts base.
  • Manage complex, high‑value deals with long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers.
  • Work closely with vendor partners to drive joint enterprise opportunities.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and consistently record all sales activity and account information within the internal CRM system.
  • Engage and facilitate internal stakeholders to deliver propositions and expectations into the customer base.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and pipeline status to present to senior leadership team.
  • Leverage sales data to drive continuous improvement and profitability.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market updates, and competitor activity, and leverage this insight to improve sales strategies and customer experience.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years of experience as a Strategic Client Director / Enterprise Client Director or similar is essential.
  • Experience within a Multi-Vendor IT Reseller, MSP or within a Vendor‑led environment with a strong understanding of the UK IT channel is essential. Preferred industry knowledge in Financial Services, Professional services, Manufacturing, large creative Agencies.
  • Demonstrable success presenting, negotiating, and selling technology solutions and services at an enterprise level.
  • Highly organised and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a credible, confident, and professional character.
  • Consultative, customer-focussed approach with a natural ability to influence key-stakeholders.
  • Strong forecasting and pipeline management capability, proficient using Sales CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce is preferred).
