# International Sales Account Manager - Textile & Fabrics

Are you a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on building long-term international relationships? Do you enjoy the balance of proactive outbound sales, account growth and working with overseas agents to unlock market potential?

We’ve partnered with a well-established, internationally recognised fabrics manufacturer operating within the interiors and design sector, based in Leeds City Centre. This is an opportunity for an individual with a passion for the textiles and fabrics industry to make an impact across a small, collaborative team, take ownership of European and Rest of World markets, and drive consistent revenue growth.

Key Benefits:

  • £28,000 - £30,000 pa, Dependent on Experience
  • Realistic OTE £40,000
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)
  • Leeds city centre location (5 minutes from train station)
  • Company pension and additional company benefits
  • Stable, supportive SME environment with autonomy

The Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of international customers and oversee a network of overseas agents and distributors. While agents generate local leads, you will take ownership of larger, high-value accounts, building relationships, progressing opportunities and closing business.

This role is KPI-driven and proactive in nature. You’ll spend a significant portion of your day on outbound calls and digital outreach, maintaining strong customer contact and ensuring accounts are fully aware of new collections and opportunities. It’s a hands-on position in a small team where self-motivation and commercial awareness are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact international customers daily via phone & email.
  • Grow each territory by at least 10% annually
  • Manage and develop high-value international accounts
  • Oversee and support international agents and distributors
  • Progress and close international opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Freshsales)
  • Deliver regular sales updates and forecasts
  • Ensure customers are consistently updated on new collections and product launches
  • Collaborate with internal sales administration support

The Candidate

We are seeking a confident, articulate and professional individual who will be comfortable speaking with high-profile clients. You will understand the importance of relationship-led selling, ideally within a design-led industry, preferably interior design.

If you’re resilient, proactive and motivated by growth targets but also value long-term relationship-building over quick wins and feel that you’d thrive in a smaller business, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your sales career within what is a fast-paced industry.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in proactive outbound telephone sales
  • Strong account management and relationship-building ability
  • Experience working with international customers, agents or distributors
  • Commercially aware with confident negotiation skills
  • Highly organised and KPI-driven
  • Comfortable working independently in a small team environment
  • CRM experience (Freshsales or similar)
  • Full UK driving licence

*Desirable:*

  • Experience within textiles, interiors, design or a related creative industry
  • Exposure to European or international markets
