HGV Driver

Description:

To operate a chain lift skip lorry (and trailer when required) safely and efficiently, delivering high-quality service to customers while ensuring full compliance with road safety and transport legislation. The role involves following pre-planned work schedules, maintaining high safety standards, and representing the company professionally at all times.

Role Responsibilites:

• Comply with all road safety regulations and transport legislation
• Conduct daily walk-around vehicle checks in line with legal and company requirements
• Manage tachograph records in accordance with legislation
• Flexibly operate hook loaders, bin lorries, and vans to provide cover when required
• Be willing to work overtime when necessary
• Complete all daily paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of your allocated vehicle
• Undertake all mandatory training required for the role
• Assist with occasional yard duties
• Report incidents in accordance with company procedures

Do you have what it takes?

Experience required:

• Full driving License
• HGV C+E License
• Driver CPC
• Experience in chain lift skip lorry & hook loader preferred but not essential as full training will be given
• Experience in waste logistics preferred but not essential as full training will be given
• Experience with towing a trailer
