Nursery Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Central Stockport

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently looking for a resilient and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in central Stockport. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about early years education and has strong experience supporting children with SEND and challenging behaviour.

You will be working within a Nursery setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children within a Nursery setting on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with SEND
  • Manage and support challenging behaviour effectively and positively
  • Assist in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEND, ideally within an Early Years setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and committed attitude
