About the role
[Employer hidden] is working with established primary schools across Harrow to find a committed Reception Teacher for September 2026. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Reception is a unique and exciting year - bridging early childhood and formal schooling. You will deliver the EYFS curriculum through a balance of structured teaching and purposeful, child-led play, with a strong focus on phonics, early reading, mathematics and personal development.
You will use the EYFS framework and Development Matters to plan, observe and assess each child's progress, working alongside teaching assistants and SENCO staff to ensure every child is supported, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
What we are looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Proven experience in EYFS, ideally Reception or Nursery
- Strong phonics knowledge, including systematic synthetic phonics and early reading approaches
- Confident delivering the EYFS framework with a balance of child-led and structured learning
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and EAL
- Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge
