Supply Teacher / Cover Teacher

We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support a range of high-performing secondary academies and primary schools across Preston and South Ribble. Whether you are an ECT looking for experience or an experienced Fully Qualified Teacher (QTS) wanting a better work-life balance, we have immediate daily, short-term, and long-term block bookings available until July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Delivery: Lead pre-planned lessons across various subjects, ensuring all students remain engaged and on-task.
- Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive learning environment using the school's specific behaviour and rewards policies.
- Flexibility: Adapt to different school settings, from local authority-maintained schools to large multi-academy trusts.
- Feedback: Provide concise handover notes for the returning class teacher to ensure continuity of learning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (QTLS).
- Experience: Strong classroom management skills with the ability to build quick rapport with students.
- Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Reliability: A professional approach with a commitment to punctuality and high standards of teaching.
