Supply Teacher / Cover Teacher

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Delivery: Lead pre-planned lessons across various subjects, ensuring all students remain engaged and on-task.
  • Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive learning environment using the school's specific behaviour and rewards policies.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to different school settings, from local authority-maintained schools to large multi-academy trusts.
  • Feedback: Provide concise handover notes for the returning class teacher to ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (QTLS).
  • Experience: Strong classroom management skills with the ability to build quick rapport with students.
  • Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Reliability: A professional approach with a commitment to punctuality and high standards of teaching.
