Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people through literature, language, and communication? We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Loughborough that is looking to appoint a committed and motivated English Teacher to join their English department ASAP. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach English Language and English Literature
  • Plan lessons, assess student work, and provide constructive feedback
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners of all abilities
  • Work collaboratively within the English department on curriculum planning and enrichment
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes reading, critical thinking, and confident expression

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified English Teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for English
  • A reflective practitioner committed to raising student attainment
  • Confident behaviour management and classroom presence
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • ECTs are welcome to apply, with full induction and mentoring support available
