Job Description
Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Wirral Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time, Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and support pupils in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) where required
- Support pupils' social and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting (desirable)
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is advantageous but not essential
