Job Description

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is working in partnership with a specialist provision in North West Leicestershire to appoint a dedicated and adaptable SEMH Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident delivering core subjects (English, Maths and Science) while supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across core subjects
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Support students with behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges
  • Build positive, consistent relationships that support student progress
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to create a structured and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (essential)
  • Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH or alternative provision setting (or strong mainstream experience with behaviour needs)
  • Confidence teaching across multiple core subjects
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
  • A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners

Desirable:

  • Team Teach training (or similar behaviour management training)
