Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner looking for a rewarding role in a nurturing and supportive setting?

Position: Early Years Practitioner

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Islington, North London

Hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)

Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week

Setting: Early Years within a primary school

We are delighted to be working with a welcoming Children's Centre based within a primary school in Islington, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team delivering high-quality early education in line with the EYFS framework.

The setting places children's development, wellbeing, and curiosity at the heart of everything they do. Practitioners are encouraged to bring creativity, warmth, and confidence to their practice, helping children thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.

Role Overview

Position: Early Years Practitioner

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Islington, North London

Hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)

Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week

Setting: Early Years within a primary school

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through engaging, play-based experiences:

  • Planning and delivering activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality practice
  • Observing, assessing, and tracking children's progress
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Be confident delivering play-based learning
  • Work effectively within a team environment
  • Be nurturing, patient, and committed to supporting every child's development
