Job Description

A welcoming and inclusive special school in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The school provides specialist education for pupils aged 4-11 with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. The Role

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEND
  • Flexible and confident in adapting to a variety of needs and routines
  • Proactive, using initiative to support learning in the classroom
  • Based locally in the Oldbury area or able to commute easily
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with severe and complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with individualised learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and personal development
  • Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment

Working Pattern

This position is offered on a daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. There are also opportunities for longer-term placements, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both pupils and staff.
