Job Description

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently looking for several SEND specialist Teaching Assistants to work in Mainstream Primary Schools in South Liverpool, to provide support to a diverse range of students. This role will start in Late Feb 2026.

We are currently working with several welcoming and inclusive primary schools to support their pupils in the classroom. The roles are likely to be in 121 settings, working with one or multiple students to support and nurture their learning and development. Experience previously supporting children in a Support or Educational environment is essential with relevant qualifications desired.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for children with a range of SEN needs
  • Assist in developing and delivering individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external specialists
  • Support pupils with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and other learning challenges
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive

About You:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Essential: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • An understanding of safeguarding and the ability to follow school policies
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN is advantageous but not essential
