[Employer hidden] is working with a number of SEN schools across Nottingham to recruit passionate and committed SEN Teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties.

These are ad-hoc roles, with both long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities available, offering you the chance to find the right setting and secure a permanent position.

About the Role As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored and engaging lessons to small classes of pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in creating a structured, supportive environment that promotes both academic progress and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
  • Managing behaviour effectively using consistent and supportive strategies
  • Developing and implementing EHCP-led learning plans
  • Assessing progress and adapting teaching to support individual outcomes
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

About You To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEN (ASC, SEMH, or similar)
  • Be confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
  • Be adaptable, patient, and resilient in your approach
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
