Job Description

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Waltham Forest seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Geography Teacher who can also deliver KS3 Design Technology.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys variety in their timetable and is confident teaching across different curriculum areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons (KS3-KS4).
  • Plan, assess, and differentiate Geography lessons to support student progress.
  • Teach KS3 DT (materials areas will depend on teacher's strengths; full support from DT team provided).
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Engage actively in department meetings, planning and curriculum development.
  • Support enrichment activities such as fieldwork, geography club or DT workshops.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK.
  • Degree in Geography, Humanities, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3-KS4.
  • Confidence teaching KS3 DT (full resources and technician support provided).
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Effective communication and the ability to build rapport with students.

  • Be a passionate Geography specialist with interest or experience in KS3 DT.
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and creative lesson planning.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and willing to work across two departments.
  • Have a calm, consistent approach to behaviour management.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards and positive outcomes.
