Primary Teaching Assistant - Farnworth Area, Bolton

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Farnworth area of Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, assisting with classroom learning, interventions, and general day-to-day routines. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with transferable experience working with children.

You will play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, remain engaged in lessons, and make strong progress. The school has a friendly staff team, excellent leadership, and a positive learning culture where support staff are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Work with individuals and small groups in literacy and numeracy
  • Help prepare engaging learning resources
  • Promote positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development
  • Encourage independence and confidence in learning
  • Assist with playground or lunchtime duties where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working in a school or child-focused setting
  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting primary-aged pupils
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Relevant TA qualification desirable but not essential
