This is a highly rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, delivering a high-quality, inclusive education to students aged 11-19 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated needs.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues and multi-disciplinary professionals to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment, supporting every student to achieve meaningful academic, social, and emotional progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate teaching for individuals and small groups in line with the school curriculum and policies
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, using outcomes to inform future planning
  • Coordinate teaching, assessment, recording, and reporting across agreed subjects and key stages
  • Develop, implement, and review individual education, behaviour, and support plans
  • Create a stimulating and well-organised learning environment tailored to student needs
  • Promote students' physical, educational, social, and moral development
  • Effectively manage and support challenging behaviour, encouraging independence and self-regulation

About You We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • Qualified: Holds UK QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
  • Experienced: Strong understanding of SEN, particularly autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs
  • Compassionate & Resilient: Able to build positive relationships with students who may have faced significant challenges
  • Collaborative: A confident communicator who works effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Creative & Flexible: Able to adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of individual needs
