The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (or working towards a professional accounting qualification) and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Day-to-day accounts payable and receivables duties for the group
  • Accurately process financial information within month end deadlines
  • Obtain approvals of invoices from all departments
  • Support audit preparation.
  • Assist to preparation of management accounts
  • Assist in accruals and prepayments processing
  • Assist in budgets; forecast preparation across the group.
  • General accounts queries - Investigating and liaising with other departments;
  • Cover for others of the finance team during period of absence and annual leave.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance team

What You'll Need:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Currently studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
