Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre (WSPC) is looking for a passionate and experienced Yard Manager & Senior Coach to lead their team and oversee daily operations. Responsibilities include managing the yard, delivering riding lessons, ensuring horse welfare, and training staff.

YARD/BARN MANAGER CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre (WSPC) is a thriving inner-city riding school and charity, providing lessons and therapeutic sessions for children and young people, including those with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. Our traditional stable yard is home to 17 horses, ponies, and 2 donkeys, and we have a welcoming indoor school. The Role We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Yard Manager & Senior Coach to lead our team and oversee daily operations. You will: Manage the yard, horses, ponies, volunteers, and staff. Deliver riding lessons and horse care sessions for all levels. Create and maintain the timetable for lessons and programs. Ensure high standards of horse welfare and yard maintenance. Train, mentor, and support staff and volunteers. Help share our story through social media and website updates. Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering riding lessons across all novice and beginner levels. BHS or RDA coaching qualifications (BHSAI, BHSQ3, or RDA). Strong equine welfare knowledge and yard management experience. Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment.
