Banking Operations Manager

About the Role
As Banking Operations Manager, you'll play a broad, hands-on role in shaping and scaling [Employer hidden]'s embedded financial services infrastructure. You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance, owning the operational lifecycle of card products and digital wallet capabilities, while also developing deep familiarity with the wider banking operations landscape, including payments infrastructure, financial services partner management, client funds operations, and scheme economics.
A core part of your remit will be the digitalisation and operational enablement of digital wallet products, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and tokenisation initiatives. You'll be [Employer hidden]'s subject-matter expert and central point of contact for digital wallet operations, owning certification lifecycles, monitoring industry developments, and shaping how these capabilities are operationalised and evolved. As digital wallets remain a critical product differentiator and a growing industry expectation, your leadership here will have direct and visible business impact.
Beyond digital wallets, this role is deliberately scoped to build broad operational expertise across all areas of the banking operations function. You'll work closely with the Senior Banking Operations Manager, taking increasing ownership of complex workstreams, partner relationships, and cross-functional initiatives.
