Academic Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Manager to join our academic leadership team. The successful candidate will oversee academic programmes, ensure the delivery of high-quality education, and support both faculty and students. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for educational excellence and the ability to drive academic initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programmes. Ensure that programmes meet educational standards and align with institutional goals.
  • Faculty Support: Provide guidance and support to faculty members, including mentoring, professional development, and performance evaluations.
  • Student Success: Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve student outcomes. Address academic issues and ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty to design and update curricula that reflect current academic trends and industry needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that academic programmes comply with accreditation requirements and institutional policies. Conduct regular reviews and assessments.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage academic schedules, resource allocation, and departmental budgets. Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Research and Innovation: Encourage and support research initiatives within the department. Promote innovative teaching practices and academic research.

What We Need from You:

  • Qualifications:
    • A Master’s degree in Education, Academic Administration, or a related field is required; a Ph.D. or relevant advanced degree is highly preferred.
    • Proven experience in academic management or a similar leadership role within higher education.
