Summary

At [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], we are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Hair & Make-Up Artist to lead the team at our Head Office Photo Studio! You will be part of an amazing team of in-house creative managers working as one to deliver the full end to end process of asset creation. This is an extremely fast-paced role that strives to maintain [Employer hidden]’s photographic vision and creative beliefs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is creative & proactive with an exceptional eye for detail who can deliver results and guide a team.

What You'll Take On

  • Lead hair and make-up across one or multiple studio sets, ensuring consistent, brand-aligned results.
  • Create and translate creative briefs into commercially relevant, trend-aware hair and make-up looks.
  • Create and present mood boards and briefs aligned to seasonal trends, product categories, and campaign direction.
  • Remain ahead of fashion, beauty, social and cultural trends to evolve studio aesthetics.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to the team, including freelance talent within the studio.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Lead by example on set, fostering a positive, collaborative, and solution-focused environment that maintains exceptional standards.
  • Ability to confidently build rapport, present ideas and presentations to senior members of the team.
  • Carry out performance feedback conversations to help drive team engagement, accountability, and consistent standards across all shoots.
  • Ensure kit standards, hygiene compliance, and stock control processes are maintained.
  • Flexibly support shoots at other studios or on location when required.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in commercial hair and make-up within a fast-paced studio environment.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring other artists.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hair styling, make-up application, products, and emerging techniques.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating e-commerce and editorial work.
  • Commercially aware with a deep understanding of fashion and lifestyle trends.
  • Confident in making creative decisions under time pressure.
  • Exceptional planning, organisational, and workload management skills.
  • Calm, resilient, and solution-oriented in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to give and receive feedback.
  • Competent using Mac OS and G Suite.
