The opportunity
This project, the basis of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between SET and [Employer hidden], provides an exciting opportunity for a Master’s-level graduate to work on a highly strategic spatial architecture project with SET - arts and community organisation based in London providing affordable artist workspace and an eclectic and experimental arts programme.
This role will be based at SET studios in Vauxhall, 89 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TP, with some travel to other SET sites, as required.
Your profile
You will be educated to degree level (min. 2:1) in Architecture or Spatial Practices. Relevant Masters of PhD level experience is desirable, reflecting the need for theoretical knowledge and research enquiry. You will have proficiency in architectural and multi-stakeholder projects, specifically in internal fit-outs, adaptive re-use and/or reusable or flexible /modular systems. You will have knowledge of contemporary artists practices and spaces. You will be a strategic thinker in a creative industries context, with an understanding of local policies related to cultural infrastructure.
You will support SETs ambition to grow the charity, and have an understanding of the charity surplus-generating model. You will also:
- Be able to take ownership of a significant and challenging project, which has economic and environmental priorities
- Take a structured approach to project management
- Be an excellent communicator across varied stakeholder needs
- Be self motivated and resourceful.
