​Settlements Manager (Strategy & Performance Focus)

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established and growing energy supplier to appoint a Settlements Manager who will play a key role in supporting the ongoing performance and development of the settlements function.

This is a high-visibility role where you will contribute to both day-to-day excellence and the broader strategic direction of the team, ensuring the function continues to evolve in line with business growth.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of settlements activity across electricity and/or gas, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient performance.

Alongside managing core operations, you will support the continued enhancement of processes, reporting, and ways of working, helping the business build on its strong foundations as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end settlements performance across electricity and/or gas portfolios
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and maintaining strong engagement
• Support the ongoing development of processes and controls to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs
• Use data and MI to identify trends and provide insight into performance and opportunities
• Ensure accuracy and compliance across settlement, metering, and reconciliation activities
• Act as an escalation point for complex settlement issues, coordinating resolution across teams
• Work closely with Finance to understand settlement variances and financial impacts
• Collaborate with Billing, Customer Operations, and Sales to support strong data quality and end-to-end alignment
• Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with business growth and industry change

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Proven experience within UK electricity and/or gas settlements
• Strong understanding of settlement processes, metering, and dataflows
• Experience leading and developing teams within a settlements, billing, or operations environment
• Ability to interpret operational activity in terms of financial impact and risk
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions
• Analytical mindset with experience working with data, reporting, and MI

Desirable

• Experience working within a growing or evolving energy supplier environment
• Exposure to process improvement or system enhancements
• Advanced Excel or data analysis capability
