Commercial Manager
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing engineering team, supporting the successful delivery of high-voltage (HV/EHV) infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing project budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting across the full project lifecycle
- Preparing, reviewing, and analysing tenders, including supplier and subcontractor negotiations
- Managing subcontractor engagement, performance, and payment processes
- Administering contract variations, mitigating commercial risks, and producing regular reports
- Contributing to business profitability and maintaining oversight of the commercial pipeline
- Providing leadership to commercial team members and upholding strong governance standards
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial management role within construction or engineering environments
- Strong analytical thinking, negotiation capability, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with cost/value reporting and pipeline tracking
- Well-organised, proactive approach suited to fast-paced project settings
Experience within sectors such as electrical engineering, utilities, overhead lines, or cable systems would be advantageous.
