FULL DESCRIPTION
Location: East England
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support HV/LV electrical engineering projects, including substation construction, network upgrades, and planned outages. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with Distribution Safety Rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute HV switching schedules using PowerOn and other DNO systems
- Safely isolate and earth high-voltage apparatus
- Issue Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access
- Develop and implement safety documentation and method statements
- Attend client meetings and support the resolution of operational issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning activities
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and HSE legislation
What You’ll Bring
- SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network
- Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, safety regulations, and outage planning
- HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across East Anglia and surrounding regions
