FULL DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

The Security Manager Kings Cross is responsible for the effective day to day management of the Secondary Centralised Security Control Room at Kings Cross, including all security related responsibilities, leading a team and all designated additional.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide effective people management for Centralised Control Room personnel, including setting of objectives, performance reviews, performance ratings, career progression and any other HR related tasks. This includes making sure resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated so holidays and sickness are covered
  • Physical security of employees, site visitors and premises for all centralised sites is delivered in accordance with [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure [Employer hidden] security systems/equipment on site is fit for purpose, operating in line with Bank of England Security Standards.
  • Ensure the control room is managed in adherence to the BoE Security Standards at all times.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance checks are undertaken in line with the [Employer hidden] Security Framework, and are appropriately signed off.
  • Systems are regularly maintained and tested as per required schedule across all centralised sites.
  • Pro-actively deal with any security or safety related incidents ensuring appropriate actions taken to resolve, including the completion of concise and accurate incident reports.
  • Assist with and provide resource for any investigations as directed by the Leadership Team/( including support functions) e.g. accidents, theft etc.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they deliver in line with contracted requirements to minimise operational impact to VTX.
  • Ensure that PPMs and all scheduled works are carried out within appropriate timescales across all sites.
  • Reactive maintenance issues are escalated appropriately in line with [Employer hidden] process and are managed through to resolution.
  • Act as a coordinator and liaison for all installation and additional works, ensuring that required work is carried out as agreed.
  • Effectively liaise with and support the site where required.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are raised and authorised, and spending is monitored against set budgets.
  • All potential works are logged and escalated for budget allocation, planning, support and co-ordination.
  • Undertake routine inspections of the site as per control framework.
  • Actively work as part of the wider Security Team. Share ideas, promote collaboration and best practices, encourage ongoing improvements to systems, processes and procedures.
  • Provide reporting for executive committee and risk management committees.

  • Good working knowledge of Security;
  • Confident and approachable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Time Management skills; organisational skills; operational knowledge and experience;
  • Ability to meet team/shift targets and deadlines;
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents;
  • Ability to delegate where necessary and appropriate;
  • Good computer literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Knowledge of electronic Security Systems;
  • Leadership and people management skills;
  • Flexible approach to work;
  • Conducting interviews, investigations and performance reviews including providing feedback;
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team;
  • Demonstrate a willingness to embrace change
