Commercial Asset Manager - BESS
We’re working with a leading Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) owner and operator to recruit an experienced Asset Management / Market Data professional to support the commercial performance of their growing portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of operations, trading, finance, and data, helping to optimise revenue across multiple market streams while supporting reporting, budgeting, and contract management activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting dashboarding, reporting, and commercial analysis
- Managing multiple revenue streams, reconciliations, and settlements
- Supporting auctions, bidding activities, and route-to-market relationships
- Contract and asset management across trading, O&M, and third-party services
- Budgeting and portfolio performance oversight
- Working cross-functionally with data, finance, and operations teams
- Monitoring regulatory developments and new revenue opportunities
- Line management and development of junior asset managers (where applicable)
About you:
- 5+ years’ experience in energy markets, trading, optimisation, asset management, or a regulated environment
- Strong analytical background (numerical, technical, financial, or data-focused)
- Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines
- Proactive, commercially minded, and able to manage priorities independently
- Experience within BESS or flexible energy assets is highly desirable
