About Extra Care

Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident.

As a Care Assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place.

What You'll Do

Every client's needs are different. You may assist with:

  • Housework- Morning routines
  • Preparing meals
  • Medication support
  • Personal care such as washing and dressing

More than this, our carers become friends—providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough.
