[Employer hidden] is looking for freelance activity staff to work this summer.

We are a charity based in Kielder Water & Forest Park and running an NCS programme in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside through summer 2020. We are looking for freelance activity staff for the following dates:

• 30 June/1/2 July
• 6/7/8 July
• 14/15/16 July
• 21/22/23 July
• 28/29/30 July
• 4/5/6 August

You will be running activities such as climbing wall, canoeing, group walk and raft building as well as integrating problem solving into the programme to develop team work.

Ideally you will have a UKCC level 1/Paddle sport leader and/or CWI but most importantly you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to get the best out of the group you work for. You must have a current enhanced DBS.

Preference will be given to those that can work blocks of dates. Please note that other work may be available in the period.

We would also consider students and others who might want a short period of block work or work experience to assist in delivering our programme.

Further Information

Hours

Work times will be from 8.30am until 5.30pm to assist with set up and set down on the activity you are involved in. If the group returns early for any reason you will be required to work with [Employer hidden] staff to provide an alternative activity

Pay

£100/day

Accommodation

We may be able to offer reduced price B&B accommodation in our centre if we have availability. Unfortunately we don’t have the facilities to deal with camping/vans on site; there are local campsites available. We may have availability in our staff accommodation for those considering longer stay blocks of more than 4 weeks.

DBS

You must have a current enhanced DBS. We can assist you with this at cost price if you do not have one in place.
