We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting a modern commercial aircraft fleet.
Role purpose
This is a key role responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities are effectively planned and delivered in a safe, compliant, and operationally efficient manner.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to optimise aircraft availability while maintaining the highest safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for our 747 & 777 fleets, including Line, A-checks, C-checks, and other routine and non-routine maintenance activities
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, supply chain and Pt 145 suppliers to ensure availability of parts, tooling, and manpower
- Prepare work packages, task cards, and maintenance documentation for planned maintenance events
- Monitor aircraft status and adjust maintenance plans in response to operational changes or defects
- Track maintenance progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure all maintenance records and documentation are accurate, and systems updated
- Optimise maintenance plans to minimise aircraft downtime and operational disruption
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and reliability
Key skills, knowledge & experience required:
- EASA Part-66 Licence, or a degree/diploma in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
OR
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance planning or a similar role within aviation
- Familiar with aviation regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements
- Experience with maintenance planning systems (AMOS preferred; other systems considered)
- Good knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with Weight & Balance scheduling and MSG-3 Maintenance Task Analysis is advantageous
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic operational environment
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems

This role will be based at our Head Office in Hampton Wick, typically working from the office 4 days per week with one day working from home. Overseas travel may be required.
