You'll support users—Data Owners & Data Stewards—and promote best practices in Data Management. Help make data Trustworthy, Ethical, Secure, Protected, and Ready to Use.

Be a key player in transforming the Data Governance team within the Data & Digital Trust Office. Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement data management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Maintain the Data Governance documentation repository, guidelines and templates, and ensure all stakeholders adopt these in an adequate manner.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards to maintain data Integrity.
  • Contribute to the analysis of the Data Procedures and the impacts and Data Governance rules & processes.
  • Assist on the federated governance and organize federated governance councils to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization of data initiatives.
  • Manage a Global Guidance Catalog: Publish and update all relevant OBE policies and regulations and support in aligning data definitions and standards across OBE.
  • Coordinate and guide data stewards in defining the business glossary, managing metadata, and continuously improving data quality.
  • Oversee and audit data access management processes and reporting to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in defining, structuring and implementing organizational changes and Data Governance principles.
  • Bridge communication between business and IT to ensure data observability and quality.

- Knowledge of Data Management principles, Data Quality concepts, and best practices, with a preference for certification in Data Management or Data Governance.

- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards.

- Understanding of Data Quality concepts and techniques.

- Understanding of Data Architecture, data modelling, and database design are considered an asset.

- Ability in business analysis and structure a large amount of information within a process framework.

- Communication skills - Clearly explaining complex data policies, regulations, and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Collaboration and Teamwork - Working effectively with others towards common Goals.

- Ability to work in complete independence and provide independent advice and decisions.

- Fluent in English. Dutch and French is a plus.
