Salaried Community Carer – £24,999

Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £24,999 per year (£1,923 every 4 weeks for 156 hours)
Mileage: 45p per mile
Hours: Set shift pattern – mornings (7:00–14:00) and evenings (15:30–22:00)

About the Role

As a Community Carer, you’ll provide both personal and domestic care to help clients live comfortably and safely in their own homes. Many of our clients are elderly and may also be living with:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental health needs
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairments
  • Dementia, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s

Your role will focus on promoting independence wherever possible, building trust, and offering both practical and emotional support.

Working Pattern

  • Work is based on a regular two-week shift pattern
  • You’ll deliver 8 to 12 shifts per fortnight with a minimum of 2 rest days
  • Shifts include:
  • Morning shift: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Evening shift: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Occasional care may be needed outside these hours (e.g. overnight)

Pay & Benefits

  • £24,999 per year paid in 13 equal instalments

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for warm, reliable individuals with a genuine passion for helping others. You’ll also need:

  • A full UK driving licence and your own transport
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • The ability to speak, read, and write English confidently
  • Good written communication skills to record care notes accurately
  • The confidence to work independently in clients’ homes
  • A flexible, positive attitude
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A friendly, caring and respectful approach
