Ben Haylett

Ben Haylett made his first senior appearance in 2021 at the World Cup Final in Pau, aged 20, and has since become an established performer.

His 2025 season saw Haylett win his first senior medal as he won K1 team bronze alongside Joe Clarke, and Jonny Dickson at the World Championships in Penrith, Australia.

Back in 2024, Haylett added three U23 medals to his tally with a team silver at the World Championships, as well as two golds in individual kayak and team kayak respectively.

In 2023, he won bronze in the kayak team event at the European Under-23 Championships in Bratislava, with Sam Leaver and David Paterson, and finished sixth in the individual K1.

Haylett experienced his first international title at the World Junior Championships in 2019, claiming gold in the K1 team event alongside Jonny Dickson and Etienne Chappell in Krakow.

He discovered canoeing, aged eight, after going swimming and noticing a poster advertising the sport at the pool.
