FULL DESCRIPTION

Milton Primary Academy is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to our passionate and dedicated team who oversee the well-being of our pupils and work hard to support the parents and community that we serve.As the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are effectively implemented. You will be a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns and provide guidance and support to staff, children, and parents.This role is:

Salary: Grade 4 Scale Points 12-16 - £28,598 - £30,518 pro rata £18,864.10 to £20,496.80 actual salary
4 days per week - Tuesday to Friday (flexibility on days for the right candidate)
28 hours per week - 8.30am-4pm (inc 30 mins lunch)

The Ideal Candidate will have:A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
Experience working in a safeguarding role within a school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
