Field View Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school with a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all learners. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Internally Resourced Provision (IRP) on a fixed term basis until August 2027. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have significant and complex additional needs, supporting them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential.
The role will include:
- Supporting pupils with complex SEND needs (e.g. ASD, SEMH, communication and interaction needs)
- Planning and delivering targeted intervention programmes for individuals and small groups
- Supporting pupils’ communication, behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and promote small-step progress
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with pupils with SEND, ideally those with complex needs
- Has experience of delivering interventions with measurable impact
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Is patient, resilient and committed to inclusive practice
Visits to the school are essential. Observations will take place week beginning 27th April as part of the selection process.
All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred List Checks, along with other relevant
pre-employment checks. Enhanced DBS disclosures will be renewed at least every five years.
