DAWLEY BROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL

L2 INCLUSION SUPPORT KS2; PART TIME; 30 HOURS PER WEEK; TERM TIME ONLY

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated L2 TEACHING ASSISTANT to work with a small group of our learners with additional needs on a one-to-one or small group basis.

About Us:
Dawley Brook Primary School is a one-form entry community primary school with a strong reputation for inclusion, care and high expectations. Working in partnership with our small but supportive community, we take collective responsibility for the success we expect of all stakeholders.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2024) highlighted that: *Governors and school staff share high expectations of what pupils can achieve**. They become confident, motivated learners who are well prepared for their next schools and the challenges beyond. The passion for the curriculum shines through and there is a drive to have a highly bespoke curriculum, which has the rich industrial history of the local area at its heart.*

In September 2023, we opened our Oak Tree SEND Unit, a Local Authority commissioned specialist resource provision for children with Education, Health and Care Plans identifying communication and interaction as primary need. Oak Tree operates as an integral part of our inclusive school community: *The highly inclusive culture is one of the standout features of Dawley Brook**. Pupils who have struggled elsewhere thrive here (Ofsted March 2024).*

This academic year will see extensive Local Authority capital investment in our Oak Tree SEND Unit leading to further places being available towards the start of 2026/27.

This is an exciting time to be joining our school and the successful applicant will be helping to ensure that every pupil at our school belongs, achieves and thrives, working with an experienced team of dedicated and talented staff. We are recruiting for a number of different roles at this time. You are welcome to apply for more than one position but please submit separate applications. Thank you.
