Careers Adviser

Term Time only plus 4 weeks

Salary circa £28,000 – £33,000 pro rata, depending on experience

[Employer hidden] is seeking a motivated Careers Adviser to join our dynamic Careers Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in their career pathways, from higher education to employment, in a well-resourced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Careers and Employability programme
  • Interview students and support career planning
  • Advise on and process higher education applications
  • Coordinate work experience and careers events
  • Build industry links and support ‘Careers Weeks’
  • Provide administrative support for the Careers Department

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people in an advisory role (desirable)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of career pathways (training can be provided)
  • A Level 6 careers qualification is desirable but not essential
