We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health Practitioner to join our busy and professional Environmental Compliance Team.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work across a socially and economically diverse borough, delivering a broad range of Environmental Health services. You’ll play a key role in protecting communities and tackling issues that matter most, including:
- Environmental crime and nuisance
- Private sector housing and housing standards
- Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)
- Regulatory inspections, investigations and enforcement
You’ll provide advice and guidance, carry out inspections, investigate complaints and take appropriate enforcement action in line with our policies and legislation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health or related subject
- Experience of providing regulatory advice and taking enforcement action
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of legal processes and evidence gathering
- Be confident working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with a range of stakeholders and deal effectively with situations involving conflict.
- Knowledge and experience in the field of nuisance (desirable).
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, to enable you to attend meetings and move around sites in the Borough where much of the team’s work is delivered.
